NARCAN® Direct Program
Iowa County Public Health provides free naloxone to individuals in Iowa County as part of the NARCAN® Direct Program thorough the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services.
What is NARCAN®?
NARCAN® nasal spray is the brand name of naloxone and is a safe, effective way to reverse the effects of an opioid-related overdose by restoring breathing. NARCAN® begins working in 2-3 minutes and continues working for 30-90 minutes.
How can I get NARCAN®?
NARCAN® nasal spray is available at the Iowa County Health Department- Health and Human Services Building located at 303 West Chapel Street, Dodgeville, WI 53533. Call 608-930-9870. You can get your FREE NARCAN® nasal spray kit which includes two doses of NARCAN® nasal spray.

No, anyone can learn how to use and give NARCAN®.
How do I store NARCAN® Nasal Spray?
Store at room temperature or refrigerate, between 36°F to 77°F (2°C to 25°C). Do not freeze, avoid excessive heat above 104°F degrees, and protect from light.
