In 2016, Iowa County hired Venture Architects to complete a space needs study looking at the existing jail and law enforcement center. In August of 2017, the Iowa County Board approved a resolution establishing a Jail Building Committee. The Jail Building Committee is reviewing our existing jail facility and employee working conditions to craft a plan for a new Law Enforcement Center. The Jail Building Committee is expected to report to the County Board in May of 2018 with their recommendations.
